On 30 January, HLMundo will offer a true Brazilian experience: a private beach barbecue. A journey through Brazilian flavours and atmosphere. Lunch, water, soft drinks, beer and a selection of Brazilian cocktails (with and without alcohol) are included. Dinner is not included. You will also visit Flamengo Park, a waterfront park along Guanabara Bay created through land reclamation.
On 31 January, you will visit Dona Marta viewpoint for stunning panoramic views, followed by Christ the Redeemer, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a symbol of Rio de Janeiro and Brazil. Transfers and entrance tickets are included.
On 1 February, you will have a free day to explore the city or relax by the pool or on the beach. The guide will not be available, but emergency contacts will be provided.
On 2 February, you will visit the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world, with waterfalls and lush vegetation. Optional guided hiking is available at an additional cost. Transfers and guided tour are included.
On 3 February, you will take a coastal tour to Praia Vermelha, where the Sugarloaf cable car is located. You will walk along the Claudio Coutinho trail before ascending to Morro da Urca and Sugarloaf Mountain. Optional helicopter tours are available at an additional cost. Transfers and tickets are included.
On 4 February, you will have another free day to explore or relax. The guide will not be available, but emergency support remains accessible.
On 5 February, you will enjoy a city tour visiting key landmarks such as Maracanã Stadium and Rio’s historic centre, featuring both historic and modern architecture. In the evening, you will visit the famous São Cristóvão Market, dedicated to Northeastern Brazilian culture, with regional cuisine and live music. Dinner is included; drinks are not.
On 6 February, you will take a ferry from Praça XV to Paquetá Island. The 40-minute journey across Guanabara Bay offers scenic views and, with luck, dolphin sightings. On the island, you can explore beaches, parks and charming streets, rent bicycles, electric carts or pedal boats. You will visit landmarks such as the Bird Cemetery, the “Moreninha House” and the Baobab tree known as “Maria Gorda”. Transfers, ferry and guide are included. Optional activities and meals are not included.
Carnival Experience – 7, 8 and 9 February
Rio Carnival is not limited to the samba school parade. It is a city-wide celebration filled with street parties, balls, rehearsals and cultural events.
You will have the opportunity to dress up and fully immerse yourself in the festivities. HLMundo offers you a unique experience: to participate in a parade with a Special Group samba school.
The specific parade date and school will be confirmed once officially released by the City of Rio de Janeiro. Your costume will be custom-made to your measurements and must be returned after the parade, as materials are recycled.
Transfers and professional makeup for the parade are included. During Carnival, your guide will provide full support and information but will not accompany you to all events. The HLMundo team will accompany you during the official parade.
